About Future Rich

Writing for the version of you further down the road.

We explain personal finance with a longer horizon in mind. That's the entire mission — no products attached.

Our story

Started from a simple reframing.

Future Rich began in Bern as a side project among finance writers who noticed how much personal finance content focused on immediate wins — this month's budget, this year's savings goal — without much attention to how today's habits compound over a decade or more.

We wanted a place that treats your future self as a real stakeholder in today's financial decisions, not an afterthought.

What guides us

Three principles behind everything we publish.

Always free

Every guide on this site is free to read and will stay that way. We do not gate content behind sign-ups or paid tiers.

Information, not advice

We explain general long-term financial concepts. We do not review individual finances or recommend specific products or providers.

No hidden incentives

Future Rich does not accept sponsorships from lenders, brokers or financial product companies. Nothing here is paid placement.

Based in Switzerland

Working out of Bern, writing for a wider audience.

Our editorial team is based in Bern, Switzerland. While some examples reflect the Swiss context, the underlying idea — that today's decisions quietly shape tomorrow's options — applies broadly, and we keep terminology general wherever we can.

If something reads as specific to one country's system, such as pension structures, we try to flag it clearly within the article itself.

A note on scope: Future Rich does not offer paid services of any kind, does not manage money on anyone's behalf, and does not provide licensed financial, legal or tax advice. Everything published here is general education. For decisions specific to your situation, speak with a qualified, licensed professional.
